How Grad Nites Affect Your Visit
On Grad Nite days, Disneyland Park closes early to regular guests (typically 8 PM instead of midnight). This compressed schedule means more guests packed into fewer hours. Additionally, Grad Nite attendees enter the park in the afternoon (around 4 PM) with their event wristbands, adding thousands of energetic teenagers to an already-busy park.
Historical Crowd Patterns
Grad Nite days see crowd scores of 55–70, with the afternoon surge (4–8 PM) being the worst. The morning hours are usually manageable at 40–50. Non-Grad-Nite weekdays during the same period are significantly less crowded (35–50). Grad Nites run 2–3 nights per week, typically Tuesday–Thursday.
DCA as an Alternative
Disney California Adventure is not affected by Grad Nites and operates normal hours. On Grad Nite days, consider starting at Disneyland Park in the morning, then hopping to DCA in the afternoon when the Grad Nite crowd arrives. Park Hopper tickets are especially valuable during this season.
